INTRODUCTION
The Orchestra of the University of Santiago de Compostela is a musical educational project under the Culture Area and the Vice-Rectorate of Students and Culture, open to those who have knowledge of an orchestral instrument.
Selected instrumentalists can participate in the resident group, which will rehearse every Tuesday during the 2024-25 academic year (except during exam periods) from 21:30 to 23:30 at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, in addition to any extraordinary rehearsals that may be scheduled between October and June of the academic year.
Furthermore, participants in the resident group will have priority in participating in the 2025 summer gathering in July/August.
This call is open for participation in the following instruments in the University Orchestra: Violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trombone, bass trombone, tuba, percussion, piano, harpsichord, and harp.
This call will select both active members and reserves. Reserves will form a list to cover any possible and future vacancies within the University Orchestra of Santiago de Compostela (OUSC), with the list being valid until June 2025.
